David Schulz (Producer) was born in Evanston, Illinois, but he considers himself a California boy since he was raised near the beach in Encinitas, California. He has a varied performing background that includes acting, directing, singing, producing, and playing music. David has performed and recorded with such groups as Rosanne Barr & The Barr Flies, Spun, The Peter Waldman Band, and Not Fade Away: A Tribute to Buddy Holly & The Crickets. He has toured in Japan, Taiwan, Europe and Mexico. David met lead singer/songwriter Davitt Felder while touring with the musical Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story. David played Jerry Allison, the drummer for Buddy Holly & The Crickets and Davitt played Ritchie Valens. They toured in Southern California and Arizona, and they had a two-month run in San Francisco. David started playing drums when he was about nine years old. His older brother’s band was rehearsing at their house when his brother, the drummer, stepped out to take a phone call. Always the opportunist, David sat down at the drum kit. Even though he was just a little kid, the rest of the band saw David’s talent, and they were happy to have him fill in. He is the artistic director for the Star Theatre, & the facilitator of Evernight’s World Premiere!
